Terms of service
These terms cover the Vyntic website, the enquiry forms on it, the Vyntic Sites template catalogue, and the client portal.
1. Who we are
Vyntic is a software studio in Ontario, Canada. It is run by two people. We build websites, mobile apps, automations and AI systems, mostly for small businesses in Ontario, and we sell website templates under the name Vyntic Sites.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "Vyntic" mean the software studio operated by Ali in Ontario, Canada, trading as Vyntic. "You" means the person or business reading them.
The only address we publish is email: hello@vyntic.co, alongside the forms on this site and, for clients, the portal. There is no phone line and no public address.
2. What these terms cover
They cover:
- this website, including the pages describing our work and the Vyntic Sites gallery;
- the enquiry forms on it, including the Project Launcher, the Vyntic Sites early-access form and the template request form;
- the client portal, where a signed-in client sees projects, invoices, support tickets and meetings.
They also cover an engagement we take on, except where the written agreement for that project says something different. See section 5.
3. Enquiries are free, and are not an order
The Project Launcher is an enquiry form. Only three things are required: your name, an email address, and a description of what you want built. Company, budget and deadline are optional. You choose how much to tell us.
Sending one is not an order and is not an offer to buy. It creates no obligation on either side. Nothing is charged for sending it, and nothing is charged for the plan we send back.
We read it and reply to the email address you gave. That reply starts the conversation. Nothing is agreed until you agree to it in writing.
The form limits how many submissions it accepts from the same email address in a short window, so a rapid retry may be refused. And the form carries a hidden anti-spam field that a normal browser leaves blank; a submission that fills it is discarded and never stored. If you send something and hear nothing within two business days, email hello@vyntic.co directly.
4. The promises we publish, and what they mean
These sentences appear on this site. They bind us:
- "Fixed price, quoted upfront"
- "Scope and timeline within 2 business days"
- "No cost, no commitment"
- "nothing is charged before you have agreed to it"
Here is exactly what each one means.
Two business days
A business day is Monday to Friday, not counting statutory holidays in Ontario. The count starts when your request reaches us, and inside it you get either a scope, a timeline and a fixed price, or a reply saying we are not the right studio for the job. If a request does not say enough for us to scope it, we come back inside those two days to ask; the two days for the plan then run from your answer. We will tell you when that happens, and we will tell you if anything else is going to make us late.
Fixed price, quoted upfront
The price we quote for the scope we write down does not change for that scope. We do not bill for producing the quote, or for the conversation that gets us to it.
No cost, no commitment
You can stop at any point before you agree in writing, and you owe nothing.
Nothing is charged before you have agreed to it
We do not invoice you for anything that was not in the agreement, or in a change you approved in writing first.
Delivery speed
The homepage says "From first call to shipped product, in weeks." That describes how our projects run. It is not a term of your project. The date that binds us is the one written into your scope.
5. Engagements, and what the written agreement does
An engagement starts when we have both agreed, in writing, to a scope, a price and a timeline.
That written agreement is the contract for the work. It sets out what is being built, what is not, the payment stages, the timeline, what you supply and when, and who owns what at the end. These terms sit underneath it and fill the gaps. Where the two disagree, the written agreement wins for that project.
We can decline a request, and we do not have to give a reason.
6. Price and payment
- Every invoice states its own currency. Vyntic Sites plans are priced and invoiced in Canadian dollars. Taxes are extra where they apply.
- We issue the invoice. You pay it on Stripe's own hosted invoice page. We never receive, see or store your card details. The card is handled entirely by Stripe.
- An invoice is one of three kinds: a deposit, a milestone, or the final balance. Your agreement says which ones apply to your project and when each becomes payable.
- Every invoice carries a due date.
- A failed payment leaves the invoice open and payable on the same link. We do not add interest or late fees. If an invoice goes unpaid we will contact you, and we can pause work until it is settled.
7. Timelines and changes to scope
The timeline that applies is the one in your agreement.
Dates that depend on something from you (content, photographs, a logo, logins, an approval, a decision) move by however long we are waiting. We will tell you when a date has moved and why.
Work outside the written scope is quoted as its own fixed price, and does not start until you agree to it in writing. We do not do extra work and bill for it afterwards.
8. Delivery, testing, and fixing what we got wrong
We test the work against the agreed scope before you review it.
If delivered work does not do what the scope says it does, tell us and we fix it at no charge; your agreement says for how long after launch that applies. After that, fixes are covered by whatever support arrangement you have, or quoted.
Two different things get called bugs:
- A defect is work that does not match the agreed scope. We fix it.
- A change is a new or different requirement. We quote it, fixed, before starting.
9. After launch: support and monitoring
Someone answers. Email hello@vyntic.co, or open a ticket in the portal if you have an account, and we come back within two business days.
Monitoring and ongoing support exist when your agreement says they do, and cover what it says they cover. We do not run monitoring you have not agreed to, and we do not watch a site around the clock unless that is what you are paying for.
Support tickets are for clients with an account. Attachments are capped at 4 MB and limited to PNG, JPEG, WebP and PDF files. If your agreement sets a response time, that one applies. If it does not, we answer within two business days; a faster response to an urgent problem is something we agree in writing, not something this document promises.
10. Vyntic Sites
Vyntic Sites is a catalogue of website templates, each offered at one of three levels. What a level includes is described on that template's page in the gallery, and that description is the definition of what you get: the template at the level agreed, built out with your business's information.
There is no checkout
Nothing on those pages can be bought with a card, and no card is asked for anywhere on them. You send a request, a person reads it and writes back within two business days, and if you go ahead we invoice you.
Prices
The prices published on the Vyntic Sites pages are the only prices. They are in Canadian dollars, tax not included, and are billed monthly or yearly with a one-time activation fee. Nothing in this document changes them.
Limits
How many products, bookings, locations and logins a plan permits is not settled yet. We will publish those quantities before anything is on sale. No quantity limit applies to you unless it was published before you agreed to the plan.
Hosting and addresses
A Sites plan includes hosting on a Vyntic address. Connecting a domain you already own is not available yet.
Starting, changing and ending
All three are done by writing to us. There is no self-serve control, no subscription dashboard, and no automatic renewal charged to a card, because there is no card on file. When a Sites arrangement ends we stop serving the site. The address belongs to us, so a site cannot move to you with the address it was live on. Tell us before it ends and we will send you the text and images you gave us, in the formats we hold them in, and agree in writing what else, if anything, is handed over.
Photographs and logo
The pictures in a demo are licensed stock and do not come with your site. A real site gets photographs of your own business. We take them or you send them, and your agreement says which, and who holds the rights in photographs we take. If you have a logo, a person adds it when we build the real site. If you supply photographs, text or a logo, you confirm you have the right to use them and to let us use them for your project.
11. Demo sites, previews and the configurator
Every demonstration site in the gallery is a business we made up. The prices, hours, staff, menus, availability, deposits, turnaround times and policies shown on a demo page are illustrative. They are not offers, and they are not ours.
Demo photography is licensed to us for demonstration. Some of it is Creative Commons material, credited on the page itself with its author, licence and source link. It is not transferred with a site. If you want to reuse an image, start with those credits.
Where the Vyntic Sites configurator is available to you, using it costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Nothing is charged and nothing is sent to us until you say so. A preview shows part of a site; the sections it does not show are built with you after you buy, and are not billed as extra work. A preview is not a quote and it is not the finished site.
12. Your account and the portal
An account needs a name, an email address and a password. Passwords are handled by Supabase, which runs our sign-in, and never reach our own systems or database. Resetting a password is self-serve, from the sign-in page.
- Give accurate details. There is no page for editing them yet, so email us when something changes and we will update it.
- You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live. If you create an account for a business, you must have authority to act for it.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access.
- Signing out ends the session. It does not close the account and it deletes nothing.
- The portal shows your projects, invoices, tickets and meetings. Some notes on a project are internal working notes and are not shown to you.
- If you sign up with the same email address you used on an earlier enquiry, that enquiry is attached to your account automatically.
- Closing an account is an email to us. There is no button for it in the portal.
What we store, and what you can ask us to do with it, is set out in our privacy policy.
13. Acceptable use
Use this site and the portal for what they are for.
Do not:
- send us personal information about other people that you do not have the right to share;
- use the forms for bulk, automated or unsolicited messages, or to send anything unlawful;
- try to reach records that are not yours, or probe, scan, overload or attack the site, the portal or anyone's account;
- upload malware, or a file that is not what its name says it is;
- copy this site's design, code or template designs for use elsewhere;
- impersonate someone, or present a business as yours when it is not.
Do not send payment card numbers, passwords or health records through a form or a support ticket. We do not need them and they are not built for it.
We can refuse a request, and we can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
14. This site's own content
The text, design, code, the Vyntic name and logo and the template designs on this site are ours. Demonstration photography belongs to its photographers and is used under its own licence, credited on the page it appears on; some of it is Creative Commons ShareAlike material, and our crops of it stay under the same licence.
You are welcome to read it, link to it and quote a short passage with attribution. You may not copy the templates, the code or the design to build your own or a client's site.
15. Who owns the work we deliver
A launched project is yours.
When you have paid in full, the code, designs and content we made specifically for your project are yours. What stays ours (the components, libraries and internal tooling we reuse across projects) and anything your project needs on top of that is set out in your engagement agreement. That agreement governs ownership; where it is silent, the default above applies.
What you give us stays yours: your text, images, logo, data and business information. You give us permission to use it to build, test and run what you asked for.
Third-party parts of a delivered project (open-source libraries, fonts, stock imagery, hosted services) keep their own licences and terms. We will tell you which ones matter for your project.
16. Showing your project as reference work
We may name a project we delivered and link to the live site as reference work. Ask us to stop and we will.
Anything beyond that (a written case study, a set of screenshots, or any figure about traffic, revenue or results) needs your approval first, and any figure has to be one you confirm.
Images prepared for a case study can be reached publicly from the moment they are uploaded, so we only upload material you have already approved.
17. Services we depend on
This site and the portal run on services we do not control:
- Our database and sign-in run on Supabase, in its Canadian region (ca-central-1).
- Invoices are issued through Stripe and paid on Stripe's own hosted page.
- The site is served by Vercel, which receives your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for in order to deliver it.
- Email is delivered by two providers: account email (confirming an address, resetting a password) comes from Supabase, and anything else we send comes from a separate email service.
- If we send you a link to book a call, that scheduling tool is run by a third party.
Their outages, their changes and their own terms are not ours. What each one receives is set out in our privacy policy.
18. What we do not promise
- We do not promise software free of every defect. We test against the scope, and we fix what does not match it.
- We do not promise that a site or an app is reachable at all times. Networks, hosting and third-party services fail. When something we run is down and we know about it, we work to get it back and we tell you; unless your agreement includes monitoring, we may not know before you do.
- We do not promise a business result. This site publishes no figures about traffic, revenue, ranking or conversion, and nothing here promises any.
- We do not promise search engine ranking or indexing outcomes.
- We do not promise that a third-party service keeps its features, its prices or its terms unchanged.
Where the law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, nothing in this section removes them.
19. Limit on what we owe
If we are liable to you for something connected with this site or our work, the most we owe in total is the amount you paid us for that work in the twelve months before the problem arose. If you have paid us nothing (an enquiry, a demo, a preview, a quote), that amount is nothing.
Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect loss: lost profit, lost business, lost data, lost time, or loss that follows on from something else going wrong.
Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
20. Ending things
An enquiry
Stop whenever you like. You owe nothing.
An engagement
Either of us can end it by writing to the other. You pay for the work done and any costs already committed up to that point, and nothing more. Anything you have paid for work not yet started is returned; your agreement says whether a deposit is refundable. We hand over what your agreement says we hand over.
Unpaid invoices
We can pause work on an overdue invoice after telling you.
A Vyntic Sites arrangement
See section 10.
An account
Email us and we will close it. Closing an account does not by itself delete every record connected to you; the privacy policy explains what is kept and how to ask for deletion.
21. Governing law
These terms, and any engagement under them, are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario are the venue for any dispute.
Before it gets that far, email hello@vyntic.co and give us a fair chance to put it right. There are two of us here, and most things get settled in a message.
22. Changes to these terms
This version takes effect on September 9, 2026.
We do not edit a published version. When something changes we publish a new version, with its own number and date. A new version applies from the date it is published.
A change here does not change an engagement already agreed. The terms in force when we agreed apply to that project until it ends.
23. Contact
Email hello@vyntic.co.
